Mexico, Sonora: Blue Star Thundereggs are a striking variety of nodules found in Sonora, Mexico. They feature a dark grayish-to-reddish-brown outer rind enclosing vibrant blue chalcedony. The interior of these halves are absolutely gorgeous, sparkling with blue druzy crystals. The chalcedony fluoresces a bright green under short wave UV light (see pics).
