USA, Oklahoma: Barite and gypsum roses are both crystal formations that resemble roses, but they differ in density, crystal shape, and color. Barite roses are heavier, have thicker and less-defined crystal "petals," and are often reddish due to iron oxides in the sand. Gypsum roses are lighter, have sharper crystal edges, and are typically white, brown, or beige. Currently, I have a Selenite (Gypsum) rose listed as well. See sku 50038.
